I had to use the call centre to get Mrscove back from LAX on my same flight.
How it was handled was totally brilliant as he changed my flights by a day, selected great seats and the web problem was overcome in one phone call.
A brilliant lateral thinker in the Kris Flyer points redemption area.
The flights are well inside 30 days and now we are going together no problem.
I recommend this if you have a web booking issue.

Seconded - I've never actually flown them, but I'm travelling with my Dad and yesterday he wanted to to change his SIA flights but his travel agent seems to have been abducted by aliens. A very quick call to them, and flights were easily changed, no waiting on hold or anything.

Flew with SQ to China last year, and everything about it was wonderful. We would use them to fly to Scotland. But have to fly through Heathrow, and we will not do that. There FA's are great, the planes are new and clean. Their service centre is magic. We use them when we fly around Asia.

Mrscove pulled J and F flights 11 days from departure and will get to travel in a seat next to me in both directions PER-LAX-PER all on reasonable numbers of frequent flyer points.

What can I say, the other could learn a lot from SQ..

Being a PPS for some time, their service was excellent, but I did find it robotic and subservient.

A happy medium exists, but I do love Aussie practicality. QF at the peak are right up there IMHO.

Certainly SQ do deserve their 5 Star rating.

I am hearing 'i will not fly through Heathrow' more and more these days. Looks like a real market for direct services there.

Does that mean Boeing are spot on with the 787?

Singapore go to Manchester so you can avoid Heathrow.
I actually enjoy the jumble of London so we still go there.
The Heathrow Express can be a winner if you choose to stay at the Hilton hotel at the station where the train ends.It helps you avoid the traffic on day one!

The SQ flight to Manchester goes via Munich, as a word of warning.
