Hi all,

I have a QF flight in Sept arriving into LHR T3 (from SIN) at ~6:30am, and an outbound flight from LHR T1 to DUB at 12:05pm the same day.

As a QF WP, am I likely to be able to access any lounges? I know there are arrivals lounges at LHR (which close fairly early), but are these in T3, and will I be able to access them with a non-OW flight as my next segment?

I presume also that QF WP won't help me in the Aer Lingus lounge, now that they're no longer OneWorld (though still a QF Partner)?

Not too fussed, just thought I'd check. :) Is there much to do at T1? Thanks :)

Cheers,
- Febs.

Arrivals lounge at T3 I believe is "class of service" only - they removed the WP access (AFAIK. Haven't tried).

There are no OW lounges at T1, and I doubt you'd get entry anyway. The Aer Lingus lounge was nothing special when I was there about 3 years ago, and when I walked past a couple of months ago it looked pretty decrepit TBH!

There is nothing special at T1. Take a good book ;)

The arrivals lounge in T3 is operated by AA - available (normally) to passengers flying J and F - would be open at the time you are flying in.

As for T1, Heathrow Airport guide refers only to a Star Alliance lounge and a Servisair Executive Lounge, for which a fee is payable. See their site:

No lounge access at T1 departing on EI in economy unless you are desperate and are prepared to pay for lounge access

Otherwise, T1 is like most BAA airports in being a shopping centre with parking for aeroplanes. Can go for a coffee at Costa Coffee or simialr

Febs, I assume you're flying QF from SIN. If so, as a WP, you may well have access to the BA Arrivals Lounge in T5. I believe it closes at 2pm. The rules are you're supposed to be coming from Australia; how much they enforce that part, I don't know. Assumedly, you've come from Australia at some point!

Thanks guys, appreciate it. :)

Ha, I like your way of thinking! As we're flying into T3 though, and T1 is nice and close to T3, we probably won't worry about shuffling around to other terminals. Sounds like a good book or magazine will be the order of the day. I hope they have one of those "World of Whiskey" shops @ T1. :D

Cheers,

BA will want a BA Flight on the BP, and also since BA moved to T5, I'm not even sure if the QF Plat benefit still exists or not.

There's been a lot of changes to Arrival Lounge access in the last couple of years.

Mal, I agree that there may be some confusion as to access for WPs. The information I have is from two separate phone calls to BA (yes, probably not really worth the paper it's written on) and this link, which I acknowledge may well be out of date).
