Effectively August 2 all LST ops are out the window and the Adelaide route get the chop. I thought they would have kept in Launceston for Strategic purposes at least.

Not alot of happy campers considering they released LST flights up to March next year and they now cease in 2 weeks.

Press Conference today.

Source there at all?

Just seems a little bit odd, if they were to pull out of an airport around that area always would've thought it would be HBA, due to them wanting to increase their fees.. And LST fees are pretty cheap. Loads must be pretty bad then.

Who needs sources?

I love gossip about this airline that treats its passengers in a frightful manner and they still keep going back for more!!

The fees issue is a smoke screen given that it applies to all operators, so one does not have any advantage over the other. Sudden route cancellations like this are a Tiger specialty and what often gets overlooked is the impact it has on the employees, negated somewhat by the fact the cabin crew perform a lot of the ground duties.

Well searching for MEL-LST flights on their site reveals that they have no flights for sale!

Jetstar and Qantaslink will be cheering... They have been steadily adding capacity over the last 12 months to LST. Looks like they won!
