Hi Guys
Just wondering how successful (or not) people have been getting two guests into the CX F lounge as a QF WP?
Two colleagues and I are flying ex-HKG (all to different ports but all on CX) in a few weeks and as it is a midnight flight I would prefer to get us all into the F lounge if possible. We are all flying in J.
Cheers

I haven't heard any stories but I feel you would have a good chance as you are all flying CX. Cannot hurt to ask and if worse comes to worse spend some time in the business lounge.

Another solution would be to guest each person into each of the First Lounges. Sure you wouldn't be together but they both get to experience a First Lounge.

Neat idea JohnK - the guys will have spent two weeks together so might need some apart time ;)

You can only ask...

If you were a CX status member, access would probably be granted - plenty of chatter on the CX board at FT about that.

All being on CX definitely helps your case.

If you have to chose a lounge, try the Wing - having the J and F lounges side by side with a connecting corridor is good. Helps if they refuse the entry - just suggest you'll escort them into the J lounge (and they will probably check too!).

When flying on CX, they will normally ask for your Lounge invitation (that you get when checking in), and the absence of it may cause some more questions. Not sure if the scanners at the Pier/Wing are linked and the staff can see you've previously entered with a guest or not.

True but I have never had a guests' boarding pass scanned in HKG.

And from memory I visited both CX First Lounges with the same guest on the same day albeit at different times of the day. Is there is a rule that says you cannot visit each of the CX First Lounges with the same guest (or in this case a different guest) before a flight?

The other option if CX lounge reception staff get real picky take one of the guests into the Qantas First Lounge.

I posted early April about this same thing in HKG FLounge. As it turned out they said nothing and my 2 guests (1 adult / 1 13yr old son - travelling on same flight as me) waltzed straight in with me no questions asked. It was 630am and quiet..

Good luck.. Id be surprised if they knocked you back.

Just leaving HKG right now.

I can report one instance of failure - Mrs Djf tries for myself and a cousin in Jan this year at The Pier and were directed to the Business Lounge. All flying CX. They said 2 guests was an MPC Diamond privilege only, contrary to their printed entry rules which say that the same applies to all OWEs.

Didn't have time to argue then, but would definitely point them to this if I were to try again - as should you simongr. I just checked the rule sheet again, and it does currently state 2 guests for all OWEs.

Good luck. :)

Indeed. Just checked the rule sheet myself, and it clearly shows 2 guests for OWE.... ;)

Sadly only one guest was allowed.

The sign says 2 guests but I was informed that only applied to Marco Polo Diamond - othre OWE only get one guest
