Just sitting here in J Lounge SYD T1, and its the usual lounge sterile environment. It got me thinking, (for some stupid reason), have you ever seen a passenger raucous enough to get ejected from any of the QC/J/F/any other lounge?????

I've seen quite a few warnings, and dagger eyes from Lounge Dragons, and plenty of refusal to board passengers, but has anyone seen any unruly action in the lounge, bad enough to be ejected?

Actually the worst person I have seen in the lounge was the guy doing a skype based video conference with friends ON SPEAKER!!!!

Generally my experience of lounge visitors has been positive to invisible (apart from the people sat at my table in the SYD F lounge!)

I have asked for someone to be ejected and it was done. (He wouldn't leave until they threatened to eject him from the flight too).

I was in the lounge (on the computers) with an Asian female friend and he was circling around making loud comment that there was no computer for him to use. After about 5 minutes he stopped and said to me "Tell your gook girlfriend to get off the computer so I can use it".

Well I am sure you know how I reacted to that!

Wow, I have never heard of such rude behaviour in a lounge! Sometimes ppl totally shock me.

I haven't heard of that behaviour in a regular pub, let alone a Frequent Flyer Lounge.

I think you were quite reserved v8Statesman, if it was me I may have also been ejected, after knocking the guy out.

WTF!

You would not expect this is a bar.

Very restrained reaction. I may have been a little more upset.

As to bad behaviour I have seen a fight in the PER QP that required AFP response and all parties were ejected and denied boarding, I think from memory about 6 people were invloved.

Plenty of dummy spits at the door when pax denied entry, one memorable one was Adelaide QP when a guy flashed his SG card and walked past and when asked for boarding pass flew off the handle about how this was rubbish and he was in a rush and he spends thousands with QF and they should be careful or he would fly with other airlines and in fact on that day he was on another airline and then refused entry.

Most times however the QP/J Lounge is a quiet friendly place, but if someone sat at my table in the FL there would be hell to pay.:D

Yes, Well it was more of a "You said what?!?" Moment for me. As I just did not expect it. Fortunately there was a lounge dragon walking close by at the time and I just went up to them and explained what had just occurred and other PAX backed up the story. There was then large amounts of language been said by the offending PAX before he was ejected. Airport police had to be called. But showed up 40 mins later!

They were coming from the Tiger flight that has just departed :D

Seriously, that sort of behavior is a joke, it really is no different to a pub in so many ways, just one that is on permanent happy hour!

Haven't had any great incidents of note to report from a lounge.

Had some nice chats with some random people in a lounge, including one time in the F Lounge, and a couple of times with parents with young kids. There's some things for the 'good' side. :)

The most raucous I've ever seen lounges get is the BNE QP when the FT AGM is on. And then we're pretty reserved, I guess :) (although the looks on some of the faces of the other patrons might have begged to differ).

I was going to mention that rowdy bunch of reprobates as the only really questionable QP behaviour I've seen. :p

v8Statesman's experience sounds like a shocker! I'm not surprised he was taken aback. I'm sure the urge to snap, smash, crush, mutilate, dismember and maybe even harm came to mind, but his response was probably the correct one. I would hope never to encounter that sort of behaviour in a lounge.

I had a guy working with me refused drinks at PER QP - it was quite annoying as well, he had 2 beers in reasonably quick succession then the teenager behind the bar cut him off...

FWIW, this guy is a beer drinker - 2 beers wouldn't have any affect on him what so ever - he took offence, said nothing, came and told me he had been cut off, and wandered out and had quite a number more at the dome.

He returned to the QP about 15 minutes before red eye boarding, went to the bar and the same teenager serving still refused! At this stage, I went to see the lounge dragons about the teenager, but they said they had the right and there was no point in making a fuss so I didn't

I have noticed that PER QP staff are a different breed than the other QP's - perhaps its the water in PER...!

Mr!

:)

I suspect it has more to do with the large number of FIFO miners frequenting the lounge.

Never heard about a fight before.

40 mins response time sounds pretty bad to me. Esp considering they are stationed there.

Fortunately in my travels I have only ever had positive or un-memorable experiences in lounges.

I may have been a little loud, but my ears were blocked :p

Not seen anything that has been mentioned in this thread though.

My bosses wife was called that term once, not in a lounge. Thing is she is from the subcontinent (about 5 generations ago), so i suggested that she could reply that she is a curry muncher and if they are going to insult her they should at least use the correct insult.

Trouble is that subtly is lost on those types.
