Burdened by the stress of travel and escalating fees and taxes, frequent fliers appreciate free services and amenities showing up at airports.

Freebies aren't plentiful at many airports. But those that are — even simple ones such as electrical outlets to plug in laptops or comfy chairs to sit in while waiting for a flight — can come in handy or simply make a trip easier to take.

The most desired freebie? Wireless Internet service, according to a survey of more than 1,300 road warriors who voluntarily provide information to USA TODAY.

you could take umpteen amount of examples from Changi, but i'll nominate the foot massagers near the gates.

One thing I appreciate the most when I don't have a lounge is free wifi.

I want to stay connected to what is going on in the world especially AFF. ;)

Wifi.

And a comfy seat - the T3 seats in Sydney (the regular ones) are awful. It's like sitting in a hammock lined with reo.

I’ve seen wine samples in SYD, so I guess free booze is good, but I’d prefer more than a small beaker ;)

I suppose the trifecta of a comfy seat, power socket and free wifi is what would be ideal if not lounging.

Yeah, my top three (as per other comments!)

- Comfy seat.
- Free Wireless.
- Somewhere to leach power from.

So essential you're asking for a lounge :p

How about an outdoor area with a good view, the old BNE smoking balcony is not what I am thinking either.

I'd love free PARKING!!

But I also agree with earlier posts.

1 Booze
2 Wifi
3 Charging Points.

My order of preference.

I didn't mind the balcony at DRW, a bit noisy when a plane pulled upto the gates, but apart from that it was quite a pleasent place to wait... (Prior to me having lounge access)

Brings back memories of the balcony they had at CHC when I was younger on top of the airport, must have been domestic. Going outside to see all the planes, feeling the bitter cold, do they still have that?

Yeh, they still have the bitter cold occasionally ;)

I'll go with power points and wifi, luckily I normally have OWE lounge access but when I don't have lounge access those services would see me upgrade my opinion of the airport.

Even a reasonable fee based wifi would be welcomed.

I don't have any need for wifi especially when I am travelling overseas.

What I would like is

- Free internet terminals ala SIN airport
- and a noise free area for those times when one simply needs to relax
