Well... I had quite an unexpected phone call from Qantas last night. It was around 7:30pm, and I was just about to leave the office for home when I received this call.

Apparently they are holding two focus group sessions this week - one in Crows Nest (7pm - 9pm) and another in St Leonards (7am - 9am). Given the short week, unfortunately work commitments means that I couldn't attend either (particularly the morning one).

Anyone else been to one of these focus groups before, and if so do you really get such last minute invitations? If I was called about this a week or two ago, I would have definitely tried to make it - as I have plenty to say to Qantas (both good and bad)!

Cheers,
W

Yes I have been to a few of these focus groups, and it really depends on the availability. If you get called at last minute, it probably means you were on a reserve type list and someone who was confirmed to attend two weeks back, had to pull out at last minute.

The last group I attended to was in relation to expedia.com.au and prior to that it was specifically for Emirates. I have been to quite a few travel related ones and they've been very enjoyable so far.

I obviously do not count as high enough up the big greasy pole for this this :!:

Unfortunately I have never been given the opportunity to attend one of these focus groups.

Sounds interesting - how were you approached by them - via this forum?

Hi itshelen, I received a call from them on my mobile!

You and me alike - perhaps they ask SG's as they are typically nicer people.... ;)

I'm not sure why I was chosen, although he did say that the focus groups that I was invited to was run for SG members... So, to all you WP members out there --> :p

LOL ;)
