Hi, I just saw Serfty's mention of
C is another Business class fare bcuket - in order of general fare 'value' Qantas J fare buckets are: J C D I U ...

I9 is really good for you - indicate Qantas are prepared to sell Business class for deeply discounted fares - in the weeks/days before a flight this is generally due to lack of sales in the business cabin = seats available for possible upgrades.

How do I find these and buy them?
Thanks

Look for cheap business fares is the easiest way, and some fare buckets dont have fares associated with them for single leg, eg

BNE-MEL may not have a D class fare available as a standalone, but may be used as part of a fare that has different legs, such as BNE-MEL-SYD-NAN for $600. Try getting BNE-MEL in J for that price alone!

It depends on whether QF are offering sale fares on Business Class (which are generally booked into I Class).

Just because I class is showing up in availability doesn't mean there's a corresponding fare to ticket it on, I class isn't just used for discounted Business Class, but is also used for such things as Travel Industry/Agents AD75 Travel.

If there's no current sale fare on Business Class, I9 is of no more use to you than I0, all you can do is book whatever fare is currently on offer.

I recently travelled SYD-JFK and SFO-SYD both on I class fares (about $3k each way) giving me 420 SC's plus full points. My whole trip was worked around a very nice Lady on the Premium Desk finding the fares I was looking for;)

Also had time for a F status run.... SFO-LAX-SEA-LAX-SFO for about $645 and 300 SC's:mrgreen:

Unfortunately SFO-LAX has gone up :-(
I got just a return lax-sfo for just over USD $450 before the price jumped to $350 each way.

It is ticketed as an AA Flight and everything posted correctly 3 days afterwards;)
DFW rather than DWF??

Markis10
how do you book this fare , as I go to fiji alot.
Thanks

You dont need to do multitrip, the BNE-MEL-SYD then NAN option comes up on Saturdays and some Mondays but any TA will be able to get it on any day as they see more options.

Where do I find the I deals etc. When I look at QF site there is only the one business class price.
Is there a way of mining deeper into the QF system to find the different classes?
