Hello All

I was wondering if any one knew when S7 will start to operate as part as oneworld for bookings.

I am looking at booking a flight to get to Novosibirsk (RU) and would like to fly with S7 from China to Novosibirsk. I will use either Qantas or Cathay to get to China.

Any assistance would be great.

Welcome to AFF!

I’ve tried searching online, but there doesn’t seem to be a newer press release than this one, from May 2009. I’d suggest waiting till you hear more, but their flights have been added to the OneWorld-Explorer RTW fares, though that’s probably not useful to you.

Thanks for this information.

If I was to book via the S7 website a ticket (one that gives points etc), would Qantas then honour these points and SC when S7 joins OW?

Any other ideas?

If you booked ticket that earns points on S7's program that increases your chances of it being able to earn points on that flight in QF's program, if it is taken after S7 joins oneworld, but there's no guarantees.

Of course if your flight is taken before S7 join oneworld (or QFF, whichever is the earlier of the two) you will not get any points or SC's.
