QF A380 First or QF 744 First? Preference?

Thanks Wayne. It's a shame I'm not a champagne aficionado as many are in this forum!

I wasn't able to get an award flight on QF108 in F otherwise I may gone that way. The only options I had were JFK - LAX - SYD or JFK - LHR - BKK - SYD.

Ooooh. Silly me in my previous post of advice thought that QF2 went through SIN and not the correct answer, BKK.

The BKK BA/QF F Lounge is quite nice; small, but comfortable, good showers and decent food (nothing substantial, but a bit more organised and nicer than SIN).

Hi All

Just to give a quick update, I got back from my NYC trip last week and I am very glad I decided to take that extra day in NYC!

The return trip in F class in both QF and AA was generally excellent although the service on the LHR - BKK leg was less attentive than I thought it should have been however the BKK- SYD service made up for it a little. Food and drink were of a very high standard as you would expect.

The 744 seat was very comfy and hopefully I'll get a chance to try the A380 F seat soon. I actually felt that the AA F seat on the 777 was a little roomier (the AA hard product is definitely newer).

Thanks for everyone's advice.

Hi Gid sounds like you enjoyed the F class, I am on my way around the world in June on a one world first ticket and will be travelling MEL, SYD, LHR, CDG, JFK, LAX, MEL plus some AA internal USA flights

I will be flying BA, Qantas and I will be on the BA 777 to London this will be my first trip on that plane. then on QF 108 that's a 747-400 then home on the QF 94 the A380 I must say I avoid AA when I travel as I find the service is lacking and only us them for internal USA flights.

any how I am glad to see you had a good trip and wonder if you are now hooked on the pointy end of the plane

and how was New York? :)

New York was great and even with 4 days there it still wasn't quite enough. Definitely enjoyed F class and I hope to try it again once I get a few more points!
