A new way to lounge is coming to T2 ✈️
To celebrate its 10ᵗʰ anniversary, Plaza Premium Lounge is bringing its lounge experience to Sydney Airport’s T2 Domestic this December.
For the first time at SYD’s domestic terminals, travellers will be able to pay to access a lounge, no airline status or premium ticket required.

Well that claim is blatantly untrue you can pay for the rex lounge and I think virgin too , no status needed. So it's not a new thing . Rex T2 is always full of priority pass pax etc

It feels like rex should get out of the lounge business and just push everyone into the Plaza Premium lounges. Not as if many of their own passengers use the lounges themselves. Outsource it to PP.

I think they've been making a nice side hustle out of it actually. Hence why it stayed open when rex was not even operating from T2
