New Qantas Singapore Crew serving F SYD-SIN

[SYD]

The hospitality in Singapore varies in direct proportion to the price you pay.

That’s the theory, but…reality can also kick in. Quite hit and miss and many ex-pat friends often comment.

Have you spent much time in Singapore?

Yup they don't say how are you how's your day unecessarily

Such phatic communication is really only useful if, at the same time, they are refilling my flute with Krug.

EDIT: When I key in "SYD". I don't want to be taken to YQY, as the Qantas website wants to do.

Luckily Perth does not have an IATA coded Airport.

Agreed on this point. The weight everyone places on the friendly nature of the crew is surprising. I care primarily about service (delivering the amenities, attentiveness, timely response to requests and efficient food and beverage).
