Lovely time in the SYD F lounge today, had longer than normal so a long lunch was in order.. Shout out to Greg and Michelle for getting me seated promptly in the usual Monday busy-ness.
Only subtle changes in the spring menu (for those who don't already know), very glad to see that the minute steak and NP signature burger are still there, had each of these in turn and as good as ever. The Ponytailed One must cringe at some of the food items that the Red Roo has attributed to him over the years, but this burger is very much on the credit side of the ledger. Hope it becomes a permanent item.
The classic pavlova closed out the innings.
Can report also the Taittinger is still in the house, if you ask nicely

Is the minute steak available to everyone or only P1/F pax - asking for Mr Seat0A who absolutely loves this but has not found it on the menu the last couple of times. Or do you have to ask them for it?

Yep, as noted a few months back the steak seems to be a staple on the regular menu once more. I haven't had it myself lately (always overcooked in the past so never worked as a 'special' menu item for me).

Have not seen or heard positive comments recently., but at least it is there for those who enjoy it!

I have a flight departing at 1210. Will the lounge be able to prepare something from the lunch menu at 11am when the menu changes over, in time?

I'm hoping to eat something substantial on the ground and skip the food on board!

So boarding at 11:30am?

Ask if you can pre-order slightly prior to 11am so your order is first in the queue and you should be fine.

It's sometimes possible to get deep fried items (e.g. S&P squid, chips) prior to 11am too.
