AFF Clock out of whack ...

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but the post time on AFF seems to be about ~10 minutes short of the actual time. I checked on google… it’s out. Would that be a server issue?

It would appear as though the time in is out by about 10 minutes...I would suggest a server check up

Yes it has been like that for a couple of months. It was out by ~5 minutes and now it is out ~7 minutes. Didn't know where to post since the "Question about the forum software" thread was closed.

There is a delay built in to allow for responses to be sensored or bleeped, or the OS on the server has not been configured to make use of NTP :shock:

I don't know. Never really thought about it but I guess it would have to be the time logged against the post and not real time.

So if the timestamo of your prediction happens before midnight of the day predictions close then this is OK.

Also the timestamp of the actual 250,000th post would determine the eventual winner.

And don't start about mass deletions of posts or people with inside knowledge of the AFF database using SQL to alter the timestamp of the 250,000th post. Now I am starting to get paranoid and believing my own conspiracy theories.

If there is an obvious server issue, the best course of action is to PM me (admin) directly
