Accor Benefits when Booked through Alternate Channels

I don't think I've earned status when I've stayed at Accor properties for work travel, but I have sometimes gotten my welcome drink.

It may just be the case that your TA is not passing your ALL number to the property. This was the case with my TA for some years, but they've since fixed it.

I'd recommend emailing the property ahead of your next stay to ensure your ALL number is on the booking, then see what happens!

My corporate travel is fcm. In the past they were able to credit to my account. Just make sure it links up. I've got about 3 trips coming up and they are all showing on my ALL app. Just make sure that they have your right ALL # in your profile to link, otherwise just add booking reference to your ALL account manually. Both methods worked for me.

I’ve had mixed results with Corporate Traveller (another of Flight Centre’s brands). I’d say around 2/3 have booked and my ALL number flowed through to the booking seamlessly. The 1/3 that didn’t I was able to get credited but had to inform the hotel where they would add notes to my account and there was some manual processing done that took around a week to go through.

I've had mixed results with both benefits and points. I always make sure my number goes onto any third party booking because it's kind of unpredictable. Sometimes you'll get benefit or points, sometimes both. I've sometimes gotten both when I thought I was entitled to neither. I suspect that it's not just the way these third parties book hotels but also the way the checking has been implemented in the Accor systems and the individual hotels systems.

My last 2 corporate travel bookings I got both status and points, although not with some hiccups.
First one upon check out they had my Accor account but they charged the room to my private credit card instead of work account. This was amended quite quickly when I called them up. Second one the booking completely disappeared off the app after check out, with it not even showing on history. I emailed Accor and this got fixed within 24hrs.
Third time lucky hopefully - 🤞 . I’ve got a stay coming up next week.

CTM, accor membership not passed through, but accepted at check in for an early 11am check in. No direct acknowledgement, welcome drink or other benefits mentioned. Stay still isn't in the app so not a good sign

My employer uses CWT for corporate travel - hotel loyalty membership numbers are stored in our profile and passed through to the hotel. So of course I select an Accor property where available and in policy, and receive all the status benefits

I think I am on the correct thread.
I'm flying to Qld and the people I'm working for will pay for my accomodation while I'm there.
If I ask to stay at Accor, how do I earn the 6 nights, to take me to Platinum, if this is even possible ??
Should I book and pay for the accommodation via the app and ask for reimbursement??

If they’re happy to reimburse, that’s probably the easiest and safest.

If they have a corporate rate with Accor and book for you just make sure your number is entered at check-in.

If they’re basic with travel and just use an OTA, then revert to Plan A!

Thanks, SYD.

I think it might be the tratter, though they have an HR dept and dedicated team.

I'll give them a call tomorrow.

😄

Just received the travel confirmation from "Corporate Traveller"
Flights, car hire, hotel all on one booking stream
From what I have read up-thread, I assume I'll need to call hotel to add my ACCOR details??
Or can I wait until arrival?
I didn't give the organiser my Accor number at the time - they originally booked me at some random hotel.

It's easiest to email the hotel - you can find Accor hotel email addresses quite easily on their property page in the booking engine.

Hi bussyboy - we use CTM at work too and I have always got the membership linked and points earned. So strange!
I did add my Accor membership in my CTM profile and it automatically shows up in my Accor ALL account. There was only one instance when a Movenpick booking did not show up - in which case I was able to manually add the booking in my Accor account. I have earned ALL points and status on all my CTM bookings thus far.

You could also try doing it yourself on the app or website. Login to your ALL account.. go to the "Your Reservations" or "Bookings" page. There is "Add a booking" button on top-left corner on the website or at the bottom of the page in the app.
This has worked for me in the past.

Of course if you are Plat and staying in APAC you are saving your employer money thanks to the included comp breakfast; of course if you have explorer you might also save them some dinner costs.

That’s the line I use with my boss…

Hurray!
I found a GDS in my booking.
I tried the "add a booking" trick, but neither the GDS nor the confirmation reference worked.
I called the hotel directly and they found my booking and added it, confirming that I will receive nights and points - only after checking that it had been booked direct with Accor and not with Expedia etc.
Let's see how we go!

Got the nights and the points!
At check-in they could see it was corporate travel and more importantly had been booked on Accor website. I asked again at checkout.
Points appeared within 24 hours.
Faster than the app which usually takes 3-4 days!
Win.

Wanting to book Sofitel Brisbane thru Qantas (aka Expedia) to use my Qantas voucher & more importantly to get Green Tier - those who know me know I don't ever ask for much... (well. maybe a little!)

But Google AI says as below (completely OT but I never bought into the whole AI BS... but the answer to my follow up questions are very very impressive on google just recently)

So, is it true I can't visit the lounge as platinum accor?

It’s correct.

You need to book direct if you want to use your membership benefits.

Thanks for the reply... the large number of ticks your post got gives me little hope of leniency... charm can always work, sadly that's my least prevalent quality ;)

A follow up question for all:

When work books me thru their travel agent I do get all the benefits of gold: room upgrade, points (it's those very points that got me to Plat, just I'm yet to stay as Plat - this question is for next month's visit)

Question: does the info my new best friend Google AI gave me work in your experiences? Will Mrs C get breakfast & club entry on my 1-person booking?

Thanks!
