Although these sort of familiarisation flights come with the risk of last minute substitutions. Securing a PS F seat, only to get a B737 recliner could be a bummer…

Yep. If they sell an A350 qty of seats (across all classes), it would be a major PITA for QF also to try and do a last minute sub.

Not sure if I’d have it in my budget for PS J (and certainly not F…!!) but I wouldn’t mind trying out the 20 hours in economy once or twice. I was raised on 40 hour economy transits MEL-KUL-LHR, so it shouldn’t be a problem, right? ()

I think announce it once tickets go on sale, or Airbus has at least delivered one of the planes. Although I mainly blame the media, they’re the ones who keep publishing these regurgitated media releases as free QF commercials.

Disagree, it's a big project and they've had to change dates, announcing the new plan when known is essential.

Well, I'm comfortable that when they do a PS A350-1000ULR trial flight HBA-AKL that there will be plenty of availability.

I’m planning to ask for all the spare bedding and then make a little fort. All are welcome
