Qantas domestic economy meals

4 smallish chicken dumplings, steamed, piping hot...
Not fried.
Came with soya sauce.
Had mini fork inside box.

I think it’s because it’s dinner time departure hence this meal

QF1596 MEL-HTI

Ham and cheese toastie. Best food offering that I have on QF domestic in a while. The 3 cheese béchamel was almost croque monsieur like. It wasn’t huge but it was tasty. Lindt chocolate ball prior to decent as well. No complaints. Quite like the A220. Seems to board very efficiently on what was an almost full flight.

MCY-SYD Friday lunchtime. It was quite tasty and the pastry held together well enough to eat it. Even MrsK enjoyed it. It could have been a touch warmer. The red wine helped.

QF1567 CNS-BNE - pumpkin, egg and spinach quiche which was decent, would be nice for a bigger portion though since departure was at dinner time. White wine was nice.



And QF559 BNE-SYD, really small snack but the red wine was great.

QF478 MEL-SYD 23/8

Was hoping for something nice and hot due to the time of departure but no luck. Was pretty substantial compared to the usual crackers and dip I end up getting on the rare times I fly QF Y.

The white wine option was a chardonnay. Grenache is one of my favourite types of red, so immediately opted for it.

Toasted English muffin with scrambled egg, capsicum relish and cheese.

Tasted fine, and surprising that, while not a true "toast", the muffin had some crispiness about it. It tasted more like capsicum relish with rehydrated dehydrated egg mixed through it, with ricotta cheese (the latter which made the filling look even more like it did). Filipinos make a sandwich spread that would be similar to this.

Served alongside a tiramisu Lindt ball. Tea and coffee along with standard cold beverages were available.
