I agree he was in a difficult situation which one would have the team could have avoided. So, can we take from this that Alpeeeeen have tried to build a NASCAR that can go really fast in straight lines and so has done well on the fastest track in F1, yet is barely competitive outside Monza?
As for PIA, was he not getting updates from his team about the driver behind him on a flying lap? If he knew he should have been trying to get through that chicane faster to not be an obstacle. The upside is that his pace has been good all weekend; faster than NOR, so maybe papaya rules might be set in his favour?
TypicalSKY criticized PIA for aborting his lap rather continuing and towing NOR.
Im not saying he did it on purpose, but Im sure he had some "technical issues" and couldnt continue....
Sucks about the penalty especially since LAW is starting at the back anyway.
It was glorious. Really nice chat between Ted and Seb as well after the show run.How good did Shumacher's old Ferrari sound on the show laps ...miss that noise.
ANT had nothing to lose and so took the opportunity. Was in 12th at that time.Watching it on Swiss TV, the sole commentator sounded like he was watching it on a tv in the studio, and the language barrier meant I lost any strategic input.
What was the consensus on ANT pitting for tyres under the VSC but RUS staying out ?
