A quick Google search shows that the major email clients can do this as a matter of course.Coming to think about it, does anyone know, how scammers can insert who they want to have their email "seem to appear" from?
Is it taught to them?
Eg (AF*officer41231@af*.gov.au) using it as an example, where it fact its from (georgios41779@g*ail.com)?
Or the disclosure is "not allowed"?
