Qantas unveils the biggest changes to status in program history

My anniversary is March 31, have been sitting on 1316 SC's since my last trip in early August and haven't received any acknowledgement of retention. when i click on my digital card is still says 'expiry March 2027'.
They would rather wait and acknowledge your achievements in attaining P1 🫣

Again, you’re months away so as above, they’re hoping you’ll go for P1!

But seriously, you’re probably a good test case in so much as you’ve already re-qualified WP but have a post Dec 2026 anniversary date.

Report back!

I will, however I have another trip next month which will push me over the 1400 threshold. I guess if I get a notification after that then we will know! On a separate matter re: these changes, my PCP (and Green Tier) both noted as going through to March 2028 (re-qualified for both in the past few months since April 1). I am presuming that all the advertised perks of those programs (most tellingly the SC on CR earn, and the 100SC rollover) will be valid for me until then? has this been confirmed anywhere by QF?

I've just retained Platinum (August Anniv Date) and have collected 216 SC's so far this new year (since 01/09/26). The Qantas app tells me that I need 884 SCs to retain Platinum by 8/27. So why isn't it telling me I need 1084 SC's to retain Platinum? That would be very misleading.

If you have already earned 216SC, it should say you need 984.
Mobile app? Web app? How did you get your SC so far? Flying, rollover, status bonus, green tier?

The extra 100 will be GT I’m assuming, these never get recognised in ‘official’ tally
Mine’s correct:
Tally since 01 Aug: 433 (includes 100 from PC+).
Retain WP target: 1200 with 767 to go.

iOS app and same on website.

The unseen 100 SC are from the rollover and I got the 216 SC by flying a Qantas classic reward trip. Pretty straightforward, but who knows how many additional SC's I will actually need to requalify?

My bet is that it will be 1084, to reach the 1400 SC threshold. I really don't mind, as I have aleady booked sufficient flights to reach that goal, and in any case it will get me to within 100 SC of lifetime Gold.

Should be 984 to go to reach 1200.

But you will be able rollover excess above 1400.
Do you really think that the actual target will be 1200?
Yes

Yes
So, what you seem to be saying is that I would have the best of both worlds. Retain at 1200 and rollover from 1400. That would be fine...

I will be surprised if Qantas keeps the lower retain target for people who've been given a rollover.

I'm not even sure if they'll keep it for those of us who were told they aren't getting a rollover this year.

Qantas have said pretty clearly that the 1400 requal figure won't come in until "later in 2027"; that is, your Aug '27 anniversary will need 1400. I imaged the FAQ in post 1024.

Rollovers starting in December '26 are said to be, in part, to make up for the extra 200 SCs needed for requal in 2027.

My happy new year was July 1st…

“You have 12 months to do 5 things and get Green Tier” I was told (quote marks for dramatic effect… I am paraphrasing)

Now I’m told I actually only ever had 5 months & 1 week to do it

Goal posts moved mid year

Also on July 1st they told me how many SC I need to retain gold… I no longer have any reason to believe that number won’t increase before June 30th

So far, that’s what 01 Aug and 01 Sep year start peeps have AFAIK. Not sure what 01 Jun and earlier have advised RE rollover, but I assume all have the existing retain/attain targets.

Is anyone getting a rollover this year (2026)?
