Emirates nor PE are usually on my radar, but this looks like a fantastic product

Agreed, that looks good. I just did Y+ SYD-SIN on an SQ A380 daytime flight. I was apprehensive about it but it was fine, and I would 100% do it again.

It does look like an excellent hard product.
Much better than business class on any current QF narrow body.
They key question is the price.
I searched google flights for return flights DXB-LHR on 4-31 December.
(Dates I was searching for another reason.)
The results for EK were:
Y - $ 1,614
PE - $ 3,493
J - $ 8,471
F - $19,536
It was a pleasant surprise to see the PE fare closer to the Y fare than the J fare.
However the cheapest fares in each class were:
Y - $ 709 - RJ
PE - $ 1,856 - AF
J - $ 2,965 - RJ
F - $ 8,512 - OY
So I'd be flying business on RJ and considering a stopover in Amman to spend the $528 I just saved!
And also earning a whack of status credits for the 4 sectors.

(Footnote: can we insert tables here? I tried to align all the prices but when I posted the "excess" spaces all disappeared.)

Crazy to think they went from denying PE to introducing it to updating it so quickly.

A J ticket equivalent is north of $9k to $10k and up.

Interesting but flights ex-SYD aren't relevant to me and AFAIK EK doesn't offer PE ex PER - that's why I searched single sector fares.
Despite the opinions of QF, CBA, Westpac and many other corporations SYD != AU.

Assuming that gap between the inclined seat and next row it does look good.

I just hope this doesn't become one of those marketing tools that you can't find on any flagship routes (for ages).

Afaik they're still installing the "old" PE on the a380 and 777 refurbishment.
