If I buy a ticket for a local screening, and then cancel it before the screening for a movie voucher, can I use the voucher to later buy a ticket where I do the groupy thing and follow the screenings all the way to London and back?

As far as I know (based on my education by the kind cinema experts here), the answer to that is yes you can, as long as your new groupie tour is completed within the original dates of the promotion. It doesn't matter when you decide to turn your voucher into the groupie tour, just that it is held during the original window.

Yes although having someone able to give you a new cash ticket for multi world tour might be difficult at a reasonable price.

That said I have definitely used the rewards version before.

Based on the advice in the thread (thanks) , I just made a couple of bookings in J on MEL-BNE-CNS . $1600 for 480SCs per trip. Got a day trip return - leaves at 6 am in the morning and reaches aorund 10:30am and then leaves CNS at 1:30 and reaches around 8pm. As the planes & lounges will have Wi-Fi, so will be able to do some work as well.

Good thing they are also all fully refundable, so incase I end up traveling for work and don't need to do a status run, i can cancel one or both of these.

If loads are light QF could change to a plane that doesn’t have Wi-Fi such as E190. I have had that happen before.

I have had the E190 on MEL-BNE too before, though BNE<->CNS is much more likely

I did this trip last year for work although not during a DSC window. The BNE to CNS flights were both E190s for me.

The pricing looks relatively common with $799-$802 for the MEL-BNE-CNS leg. Couldn't see the timings for the 1 day but may have to be put in as a multi-city to make that work.

You don't want the $802s. I think those go via Sydney which earns less SCs

$799 was I class for me and they charge to cancel. How did you get J for the same price? And free cancellation?
