I was going to say I'm not getting the black bar things - until I realised you had blacked out the private info 🤦‍♂️. I'll head off now....

(Great feature)

Edit: I think it might be giving some phantom 'file' numbers, at least. I'll report them through the app a bit later.
EDIT 2 - all OK; just that I can't see the bleeding obvious.

Hi all, I'm new to TripWaffle. Do they do inbox sync or is forwarding bookings the only way?
TripWaffle here- welcome!

In short we only do forwarded emails, but I'll give you the standard spiel below...

As a matter of principle we're very hesitant to do this form of blanket email account access. The problem is from a security standpoint; if we were ever compromised then it would put all of your online services at risk. If an attacker can view your emails, they can also perform password resets on all your services (e.g. Facebook, banking, etc) and intercept the reset emails to gain access to those services.

To be clear, we do take security very seriously and implement best practices, which is probably why we're so reluctant to expose our users to such risks.

That said, it is possible to set up targeted forwarding rules in clients such as gmail; e.g. forward any booking emails from emirates.com or hilton.com to tripwaffle for auto processing.

User of TripIt Pro for many years, and have a complex trip coming up.

Thought I'd try moving to TripWaffle, and am very impressed by the UI, onboarding and rich data, even from a JSON import.

I quickly searched this thread but didn't see a mention anywhere. Have you considered SMS alerts for a fee?
I like that feature of TripIt's as it allows me to get updates without data or Wi-Fi.

Hi and welcome aboard. tbh you're the first to request sms alerts, but I've made a note and will see if it pops up again.

Is it possible to not display the "FORWARD BOOKINGS TO..." reminder on the top of the Dashboard? I'm not going to forget this so it just clutter IMHO.

@tripwaffle just wanted to give you some positive feedback. Just got back from a trip to the USA and everytime I go my mum always wants me to tell her when I've arrived etc. I added her as a watcher to the trip. I sent the routine message saying I've arrived safe and the reply I got "I know already Tripwaffle kept me updated"

You: I’ve arrived, I’m safe, un-eventful flight

Mum: No cough Sherlock!

I have a long history of about 470 flights.
All the data is in Openflights.
I have previously successfully imported it into both Flighty and Flights25.
However when I try to import from either Openflights or Flighty, Tripwaffle only successfully parses 80 trips.
It fails to parse 183 lines of the data.
Seems odd given the previous successful imports.
I miss Tripcase!

Think I've found it: we're dropping flights from Flighty and OpenFlights that have no flight numbers specified.

We've already previously worked around this for numberless FR24 imports, so I'm working on applying the same fix to those two other importers.

Should be able to backfill from the existing imports of a bunch of TW users, so expect your counts to jump up a bit tonight.

Please re-run your imports when you get a chance.
