Etihad has the reverse herringbone in its a321LR fleet. But we'll see what QF selects then how long until they join the fleet. I suspect it'll be something that already running on the type though to avoid the hassle of certification.

Cam mentioned this recently so almost certainly going to be off shelf with a QF palette.

Nothing wrong with that anything is a huge step up from recliners I guess.

Wouldn't expect anything else
In recent history it's only the First Class suites that have been bespoke, and even then been designed with a manufacturer (A380 B/E Aerospace and A350 Safran)

I think it's also airlines now getting scared to do seat certifications. If you alter it a bit too much it'll need to be recertified and that could be a whole new can of worms.

Etihad have my favourite aircraft cabins.
Not expecting The Residence on an A321XLR but QF could do much worse than emulate EY's subtle, classy, refined, understated luxury.
I much prefer it to the gaudy EK bling.

After a string of 737s, got the opportunity to fly the 321 last week.

Gotta say… the seats *are* noticeably wider! So much more comfortable!

I was in an exit row, although a middle seat. But the extra width and legroom made for an almost comfortable flight.

The downside is that the seats seem to lack support towards the front of the seat pan, meaning you’re sort of perched forward because your thighs and knees are angled downwards? Dunno if anyone else has noticed this, perhaps it’s just me.

I’ve also had this experience on the Cathay regional business class seats, and have avoided them.

I've only flown it on the night flight SYD-PER so have had the pillow, which i lean on in the lower back area. Fine for me in the economy + section but the legroom might not allow this down the back.

Don't find the elbow room any different, unfortunately, which is what matters trying to do laptop work on a plane...
