Qantas checking luggage through on 2 seperate PNR’s

Thread was about check in at QF connecting through to CX so QF staff would have been the staff in this regard. QF to CX is very different to CX to QF.

I don't doubt this, multiple times recently CX staff have at check in have promoted whats your final destination with a follow up of do you have any flights after this CX flight. I've had many seperate ticket AF/KL boarding passes issued on CX stock at HKG thanks to helpful staff.

I was responding to post 13. Your answer provided a policy which doesn’t mean much in practice. I provided 2 firm datapoints.

Yes, and like I quizzed in my additional question was whether checking thru CGK was in play at all or does it come under the exclusion:

“unless required by local customs regulations at the transit location”

That's what I mean - the answer to your CX >> one world separate PNR combination is in post #8
Yes, again I saw that but has anyone had success going via CGK? CX -> QF?

I thought Madrooster or someone else mentioned a while back that CGK can be problematic - even on one ticket (unless I dreamt that)?

Even if this is booked as a single ticket, you cannot through check from QF to CX at CGK on this connection so you have to clear immigration and collect bags. CX seems to have some weird inhibitor on through checks at CGK.

No you were not hallucinating
I believe he was referring to your flight that you posted about QF>> CX at CGK in that thread at post #9
