Travelling with Insulin pens

I have just been put onto Insulin pens and have QF flights (dom) next week. I have put together a "kit" which holds my pens, needles, glucose monitor, lancets etc ready to take. ( everything together in 1 kit).
What should I do at the airport that's now different to before and should I also include the small sharps container.
Any other helpful hints that I should know.

Usually just let them know as you go through security, but honestly, they don't really care. I travelled with similar recently and no one asked about it at multiple airports.

you can mention you have needles when you place the bag on the security screening carousel. I doubt it will make any difference because I’ve carried needles and mentioned it and they did nothing. The bag went through without any issues and without further inspection.

But occasions Security does take a keen interest . In recent OS travels my carry on was emptied out and scrutinised, due to the twin pen cooler pouch , shape appearance under the scanner equipment

The only time Ive had an issue was with an epi pen leaving coughet, they took it off to the plane to get the pilots approval for it to be carried on board
