JQ Starter Refunds

Hi all,
Booked flight last week but now have to attend a funeral, booked starter fare which now looks as though there is no online way to cancel? It says no longer offered in this fare class. Is this the case?
If I call the service desk can I at least get the taxes back? The $180 change fees kind of defeat the purpose

They give noting back and they circumnavigate the taxes bit by having a large admin fee.

They might have a compassionate policy it’s a death or a family member.

Perhaps ask on the chat .
