Well calling up to get some award seats released is less than ideal now with QF phone systems in meltdown. Hitting the 30 minute mark on hold soon for the premium line.

I feel somewhat bad tying up an operator during this time, but QF won't allow me to do this request online and promo period ends tomorrow.

I was in exactly the same boat a couple of hours ago - needed a reward seat released for a flight in about ten days - I was probably 40 minutes on hold then 10 mins getting the award seat sorted.

Took an hour to get through. Flights released and all done. Got the confirmation email and all flights in Y despite telling the agent I want to book J. Now to wait another hour on the phone

I guess there is one benefit with the DPO-MEL flights being Q400's - there is only Y so they can't really make that screw up! I hope you get it sorted.
