QF Double Status Credits February 2026 Promo

Albeit not yet, so still valid (for now) whilst playing the DSC game this time around.

That is also not clear. This DSC round extends into 2027 - so if the flights are in Jan or Feb (as some of mine are) there is no guarantee there will be any SC earn as the announcement is unclear on timing.

Although Qantas has just taken this benefit away :(
The fact sheet under “removing program complexity” states “ points club and green tier benefits available to members until the end of their next membership year”

That seems to suggest that earning SCs on CFWs can be preserved for a while yet

Agreed, hence why I included the caveat in my post.

Will be interesting to see how this is handled as many folks will achieve PC between now and when the changes take effect. One school of thought would suggest that the benefits are valid for the remainder of the current member year, plus all of the following member year. This would (potentially) cover off any award bookings made in this DSC promo. The other school of thought is that Qantas can change the benefits at any time provided they give 3 months' notice.

In Matt's article, he states that "...[his] understanding is that Qantas is currently considering ways to continue offering [status credits on flights booked with points] as part of its program, but hasn’t yet committed to anything." So there may yet be a reprieve for this perk once the changes all take effect, but only time will tell. In the meantime, I guess there's an element of caveat emptor at play now for any award bookings made for travel in late 2026 and beyond (which I appreciate is of no help to those such as yourself who've already made such bookings).

this would be amazing my next benefit year ends Dec 2027!

hmmm - thoughts? my membership year ends January. I have booked just enough DS flights to retain Platinum at 1100 SC next year (with 100 SC rollover). When do you think the 1400SC retention will kickin -Feb? Do I need to book another DS run to get to 1400 before end Jan 2027?

Just updating historical records for future reference:

Past DSC promo history:
2026: 24 Feb - 2 Mar,
2025: 12-18 March, 28 Aug- 3 Sep
2024: February
2023: March
2022: March, December
2021: March, May
2020: February (after which Covid hit, so Qantas began rolling out status extension offers)
2019: February, April-May
2018: February, August, October
Missing one in late 2024. October I think?

Interesting that they do this for CBR-OOL, but not CBR-MCY. I guess it's because the CBR-SYD-OOL route used to be a sweet spot for spending points and earning SC's, and they've put a stop to it. Just like you can't book a reward CBR-SYD-CGK these days. It forces CBR-MEL-SYD-CGK (at a higher points and $$$ cost). Just a fact of life, I'm afraid, and the further (stealthy) devaluing of QFF
I am not aware of any rules that mean award flights should be priced per sector? @Matt Graham sorry to page you but did we miss anything?

(Married segment control that might block cbr-syd-cgk may be a different thing)

If I was going to book during this run while I'm PC, I would be looking at something like PER-ADL-MEL-CBR-SYD instead of per-syd...

How much of the 7k is MEL-SYD-AKL-SYD-MEL? Seems like a lot of cash for that flight.

Quick question - we just put through one booking, but did so a couple of minutes prior to accepting the double status offer.
Noting the below taken from T&C would this have any effect on DSC eligibility for this booking?

*Qantas Frequent Flyer members who register via the Qantas App or qantas.com and make a new eligible flight booking between the Offer Period of 12.01am (AEDT) 24 February 2026 and 11.59pm (AEDT) 2 March 2026 for the Travel Period between 3 March 2026 and 12 February 2027, will have a choice of either double Qantas Points or double Status Credits

This offer applies to travel taken by the recipient who registered for the offer. Other passengers in the same booking must register separately to be eligible for this offer. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be recorded at the time of registration and booking to qualify

I would think technically you would not be eligible by the strict wording. As for whether or not they would award it not too sure. Are you able to cancel and rebook before midnight for the free cancellation (if booked direct)?

Thanks, have rebooked as new PNR
