Unfortunately the very attractive Mastercard rate of 0.85% has gone up to 1.25% with merger, making it less attractive for points earn. Can anyone advise best points value for BPAY now on other platforms?

Strange, perhaps old link? When trying to make a payment, definitely 1.25% + GST. Sadly.

I noticed that too, but looks like Payment Logic has added the "standard mastecard" to their website, which remains at 0.85%

I believe ‘standard’ is the pc term for non rewards MC. My impression is that rewards cards are ‘premium’ (though some of us might beg differ like my very ordinary looking Westpac Qantas business MC). That’s attracted the premium rate in the past. The only reason I can think of is that as a rewards card, it will charge a higher merchant fee (might be the case with all ‘business’ cards).

Nah, don't think so.

If you look at the exclamation mark next to custom pricing, it's for customer who apply for it. You can also see that they list international cards separately with a different rate.

From what I'm seeing, Yak now Payment Logic is 1.25% inc GST for individuals or 1.25% + GST for businesses, which is bloody expensive.

The next cheapest I could find is Pay.com.au which is 1% + GST for Mastercard.

Anyone found anything cheaper? Sniip is useless as they have now blocked prepaid Visa and MC.

MS=Manufactured Spend. Much like you're doing I guess. Coles won't sell me prepaid MasterCards anymore - not sure if the way to get around it is to change my email addresses or Amex payment card #s. Guess that's because they have little if any breakage so they make money from breakage. Anyone who has some insight into this, happy to receive a DM. The Coles MC offers have been few and far between having said that.

I buy from in store, guess they can't track like this? 😁

Doesn't that mean you pay the usurious $7 Issue fee or do you only buy the "massive" (yes, I'm being facetious) 5 they give us now when they do the offers?

I have found myself buying a small number of $500 MC GCs from Woolies - they strictly enforce the no GC for GC rules. I bought my one card at the same time as I was doing a shop. It refused to let me pay for my shop using the WOW GC until I'd removed the $500 MC GC from my basket which I then paid for separately. Buying with my Citi US Strata Premier card, I got 3x/USD so that worked out to $0.075 per point. It's ok nowadays but not as good as "free.
