How long until a gold coloured one pops up I wonder?Looks very similar to Platinum Plus... so much for being unique.
So I just got these after reaching Platinum recently (had to do the order new tags thing)ā¦.Received e mail from VA saying they will be sending out new look Platinum baggage tags soon. Multi year members only first. How exciting ...

Those little screw ends break eventually. Iāve had to repurpose other attachments for my current WP tags. A new set of tags is welcome. So I just got these after reaching Platinum recently (had to do the order new tags thing)ā¦.
And they seem pretty cough? Like itās big and chunky and stuff but -
Itās not personalised. Which was what I found useful about previous tags
Itās held on by a nubbin pressed through a fabric hole. I cannot see this staying on my luggage long - did I mention itās big and chunky? The little screw ends on the old tags felt very secure.
Well, if you get one of these chunky things thereās no real way to fix it if the attachment point failsThose little screw ends break eventually. Iāve had to repurpose other attachments for my current WP tags. A new set of tags is welcome.
That does make more sense - I donāt think they would survive a trip or two through checked in luggage system.Theyāre not intended for checked-in luggage: only carry-on bags.

I canāt find the paperwork that came with mine right now, but am pretty sure I read somewhere where it said something odd like, āenjoy using these tags for your carry on luggageā, but yes, agree that it is a departure from their previous issue of luggage tag, and thought exactly as you when they arrived (that they would not travel well on checked in luggage). That does make more sense - I donāt think they would survive a trip or two through checked in luggage system.
Itās a change from previous tags, and not explained at all in any of the packaging that is sent![]()
There is a small white plastic tag where if you pull, a panel swings out with it, upon which you can inscribe your identity/contact detail.I'm a little confused - if there is no customisation/labelling, then what's the point (I thought the whole point was for found luggage to be able to be indentified) - other than functioning as an advert on your bags?
Why would you have a tag on carry on though?Theyāre not intended for checked-in luggage: only carry-on bags.
Much like the QF pizza cutters, they are more accurately brag tags. Why would you have a tag on carry on though?
In case someone who has the same suitcase as you takes yours instead of theirs or someone steals your carry onWhy would you have a tag on carry on though?
