Cathay Pacific Checked Baggage through on Separate Bookings

Kiosk check-in opens at HKG for CX flights 24 hours prior to departure.

QF inhibits overnight through-check at SIN and HKG.

I've got a forthcoming potential separate booking that I'd like my luggage to be through-checked if at all possible.

This time it will be CX and CX (not QF and CX this time).

Route is TPE>HKG>MEL, the stopover / transit will be <24hrs (around 22hrs) but is overnight.

TPE to HKG (not yet booked) will be in economy, HKG to MEL which is already booked will be in business. They will be on separate PNRs though.

I'm hoping for the below :
- Luggage from TPE through-checked to MEL
- Lounge access in TPE (considering the 2nd leg is in business, even despite being in separate bookings - however on CXs website, it does state that eligibility will be for each sector, so I'll be prepared for no lounge access in TPE)

Should be doable? If not, then I guess upon arrival in HKG I'll collect baggage and re-check in, before leaving the airport to my overnight accommodation.

Should be doable and I have done it before ex-ZRH to SIN on two PNR via HKG. It really will come down to the check-in agent and his/her supervisor on the day.
