I've booked a Finnair flight with QF points. How do I go about seat selection? Thanks

QF PNR usually works on AY provided there is an AY flight.

Are you sure its ticketed? Usually need to enter APIS for the ticket to be issued.

Finn Air will normally accept the QF PNR, did you just make the booking. IME it is only after it has been ticketed in the AY systems can you select select seats, some times this can take a day or so. This is what I see for seat selection for one of our bookings on AY (manage my booking) made with QF points and using the QF PNR.

Just checked Manage My Booking pages on Royal Jordanian, Malaysian, SriLankan and Cathay Pacific websites with my upcoming QF booking. All worked fine. As others have suggested if this is a recent booking then details may not be available yet to other airlines.

Mainly for the US to get the ticket issued. In my example above APIS details within AY for that booking are still outstanding.

@Salar IME experience when booking with QF partners be it OW or others your booking will normally show up in the carriers system within minutes as 'confirmed'. It is not until the booking is ticketed in the carrier system can you select seat, put in meal details/ request etc.

Edit, if you made the booking say 48 hours ago I would suggest calling QF to confirm everything is ok with the booking.

Minimum DoB is usually required for all international bookings to ticket.

Either way, can never hurt checking that.

Same with me!

Interestingly ‘preferred’ seats in business were available free of charge (those that would normally attract an additional fee)
Yes, it's a great benefit of the CR booking. We had an infant and were able to select the bulkhead bassinet seats in J immediately after booking. The larger footwells were great.

Check the PDF from Qantas has a 13 digit ticket number starting 081. If you've got that, you'll be able to select seats on AY IME.
