It's been a couple of months since CitiBank card became Mycard.

I now see i earn 1 MyCard ppd = 0.5 Velocity on conversion. Other than FlyBuys, other conversions are gone.
This begs the question - even for free, is there any point keeping the card?
I think i still currently get 2 Priority Lounge passes pa, but that is tortuous

Im tempted to cut up and cancel, maybe return later for sign on if generous....or not.
What are others doing?

Well, you get free travel insurance too.

You'd need to crunch the numbers to work out how much you put through the card, how many points that generates and whether your replacement 'keeper' card would generate sufficient additional points to justify the annual fee you'd now pay.

For me at my spend levels, once annual fees of other cards are factored in, the FFFL ex-Citi Premier card is still the best deal going around.

I was wondering if that was still a benefit holding the card as I booked my holiday flights over 9 months ago using Citibank premier and now that its Mycard Im thinking will the free travel insurance carry over or do I need to purchase travel insurance to cover the holiday just incase.

I think you'll find that Citi cards were under the NAB master policy. See this PDF.
