The view or two from my "office"

Today we did a little drive to Pinjarra which is 85 km south of Perth.

St John's Church opened in 1861. Convicts created the interior woodwork.

It sits on the banks of the Murray River that enters the sea at Mandurah. It is around 18 km to Mandurah by road and the river is still tidal estuary water up to this point. A small weir was built just upstream from the church to provide a fresh water source for the town.

And this evening I am at mine - the side of the house in the sun watching and listening to the birds and the bees ( the actual ones!) with a lovely Riesling.

Northbridge Hotel, Sydney, last drinks office today. Along with the shops next door it’s being demolished for a retail/units development :(

this pub has the most beer soaked carpet of any pub in NSW & VIC, Squelched and bubble up when waking.

Bands played there in 1970s & 80s. Multicore from mixing desks and lighting desks could not be gaffed as it wouldn’t stick.
