Instant Gold Elite for 2025 or double nights for a month now on, also clicking through the Loyaltylobby website mentioned initially.

I saw the article this morning but didn’t click through since I’ve literally just completed a stay that should trigger the Gold FT. Didn’t want to stuff that up but the extra night could be useful.

and after a 5 night stay, my account is showing Gold to Dec 2026.

Yes. Registered after checking out of a three-night stay and got six nights.

I chose the Gold Elite instant status, wouldn't know how the double nights would have went.

Achieved Platinum to Dec 2026 after a mix of stays totaling 10 nights (and one ineligible Qantas Hotels stay)

My Platinum Elite status is showing as valid until end 2027.

Weird things happen around end of year, but often switch back.
Am also seeing Plat end 2027, though my points purchase which should push me to Diamond is yet to be processed for status, though the points but this morning.

My checkout on the 31-Dec has finally been processed (seemingly on 2-Jan Aus time/ 1-Jan US time.. and I can claim my milestone reward (40 nights) any time until 4-Apr.

Mine still says Diamond Elite until 2025 but all my elite qualifying nights have reset, after initially dropping from 41 to 28 (I guess 13 dropped due to bonus nights)
