Looks like the container with the J IFE upgrades got left behind. :'( Y will have 4K displays with bluetooth connectivity, J sees no change.
Well I had a word with aunty Vanessa regarding a330 J class upgrades possibility. She was too distracted watching the $100 bills spit out of the money counter.

All my travels seem to always align to been on a QF a330 in J. So now I’m fomo for economy IFE 😅.

Off topic but I’m lifetime bronze, which means that I’m also stuck at the Melbourne dungeon lounge. I think I will eat at Grill’d on my next trip and just use the shower at the dungeon. My partner said the dungeon exists on purpose so you aspire to do better in life and be at the F lounge 😅.

VH-EBS has also just returned from SIN carrying a oneworld SilverRoo livery.

So that currently means three 332s with the oneworld livery (EBN with sticker, and EBS and EBV with permanent paint).

EBD, EBK and QPH remain in the BNE hanger.

Qantas hired some paint strippers from AirTasker and got more than they bargained for. All claimed to be equipped with jumbo jets ✈️ . This became an hanger IFE of a different type..
Happy Easter 🐣..

Will be interesting to see how long it stays free for elites as I suspect there might be more demand on these longer flights.
Most (if not all?) US airlines that have had some sort of Y+ for decades still provide free access for elites (AFAIK), so plenty of data out there on the pros and cons of charging plebs and providing gratis to elites.

I always prefer the bulkhead seat when slumming it, so probably no change.

Likely these won't be sent on long range missions as the new fleet comes in. If we consider the network, I can see places like CGK, DPS, DEL, BLR, PER etc being the bulk of the work with potential supplementary to routes like MEL-HKG, BNE-NRT for example. The more "premium" routes will move to having PE (we might even see these domestic routes as well).

That being said, I wonder if these economy plus seats will be bigger than NH's standard 34" standard pitch in Y.

Do you think Premium Economy will be added between the a330-200 refurbs?

Not if they're doing this. Wasted opportunity though.
100% agree. Premium economy is immensely popular and sells for two times the cost of economy. How much are they going to make on these seats? Another $100? How many will actually be paid for? Not many is my guess.

As a WP I'll certainly benefit from a bit of extra legroom, I'd rather see premium economy on the medium to long haul A330 flights.
