So I had a successful adventure to my 2 local BPs. I decided to get the Cadbury Favourites, which was one of the eligible 10X points offers in my BP app.

The only problem when I got there is they were on special, so it was two for $18. The first BP didn't have enough, but the big BP truck stop on the highway did, so now I've ended up with 11 boxes of chocolate I would never eat.

The next mission is to find people to give them away to. But that's okay. I got my 1,000+ QF points and the essential 10 SC that I need to dip over into Gold should be on their way soon.

Sounds like my exact thread haha.. I have given away almost all of them; few left for the coworkers and might even have left over to gift to cabin crew on my upcoming flights :D

Isn't it bothersome when things like discount get in the way of a good points Earner?!? I once had to plead four bonus points to be reinstated when my calculated coles shop ended up just under its Target rather than over because of a discount I wasn't expecting
Yep - wrecks your carefully crafted excel spreadsheets!

I'm getting there! Hoping bp will come to the party with some bonuses and I have a Qantas hotels stay coming up. This also confirms that redplanet surveys definitely DON'T count and points club plus bonus points on Qantas hotels DO count.

Cheaper than any of the supermarkets! Well done :)

It takes a long while for the Hotels to register. Already completed 3 more, hopefully, on the next "status on the ground" email.

My updates are so much more boring - I too want the 'fancy style with progress and little icons' version
This is what they've been sending me :(

thats weird, do you have some sort of checkbox ticked saying you need your communications to be compatible with 1999 technology and internet bandwidth?

Ha! I wish it were that simple. I seem to miss out on all the QF promo stuff and newsletters, except for the airfare sales themselves. This is the first time though that I've seen a differently formatted message to one which others are seeing, and is obviously intended to do the same thing.

All the marketing check-boxes have been reset and rechecked a million times over the years and never seems to do what it says on the tin. Thankfully I have AFF to keep me informed :)

Cheers,
Matt.

p.s. I'm running NBN 1000/100 and it delivers close to those numbers - they could send me 8K videos of progress if they wanted!

Binge $19 and also got 1050 points. No Hoyts in Tasmania!

The Qantas relationship ends 30 November
On this, I just (re-)signed to Binge after a lengthy hiatus.

The email I received indicated charging is scheduled to take place on 23 November (after the one week trial) so this suggests that, practically speaking, if you want to use Binge to get the points, you may need to sign up by 22 November (as it's not really clear whether the 1000 points would still land in early December - we'll see I guess). (I don't think Kayo has this issue though as there are no trials AFAIK.)

At any rate, this will be 5/8 for me (just insurance and fuel/cars to go - will give utilities a miss). 15 days into my new membership year and between PCP 100 , the move of the 'thank you for your loyalty' 80SCs, 50 from this promo and 60 from (*gasp*) a flight between MCO and LGA a few days ago, and I'm already almost halfway to requalifying for SG. :)
