Recent Experiences with Qantas' terminal transfer at SYD

Well, I did the I-?D transfer this morning and it was not too bad: dropped my bag off at the T1 transfer and was directed to get the Skybus from outside this area, which dropped us off at departures level at t3. Took about 25 mins from getting landside at T1 to airside at T3.

Yes I had the same experience this morning. Although the J security queue at T3 wasn’t in use and there was a long queue. So it definitely takes more time.

Edit: sign at the T3 end

Connecting from Brisbane to QF1 next week with MrsFletty and FlettyJnr, I think we might just take the train, and gain some more Flounge time as a result.

We ended up just using the Skybus at T3 departures, there was no line and bus arrived shortly after, pretty quick, better than the train IMO but only because no waiting at 11am.

Will be sad and bad if this is the new system, ie, from now and not going back to the old way, T3 dom to T1 int at SYD.
