Qantas PER-SIN schedule change 26 Oct

The current SIN QF departure times are:
DRW QF114 1920
SYD QF2 1930
PER QF72 1935
MEL QF36 2015
BNE QF52 2030
SYD QF292 2100
SYD QF84 2235
LHR QF1 2325
MEL QF38 2330
I am disappointed that SYD departures cannot go beyond 2300 from SIN, which means less choice for late night arrival into Singapore and then change for SYD service.

Also, I suggest the early departure to SYD is not helping with jetlag neither...

Technically they can - other than slots, no time constraint arriving later in the morning into SYD for the redeyes. But unfortunately they don’t…

I wish they bring back the AM departure slot from SIN that was a “day flight” home. One iteration of QF32 had that.

When I think about it...Perth is therefore well served with Singapore flight options. X4 Singapore Airlines, X2 Scoot (I think daily), and the X1 Qantas. Not that bad with SCOOT being as cheap as. Just waiting for Jetstar to take over entirely the Qantas flight! 😜

Even with four flights a flights a day, one is a similar time ot the QF flight and the other three have less than ideal timings. Either silly hour arrival or departure.

We have a Jetstar flight too, don’t we? It keeps coming and going I can’t keep track.
But it’s a bit “200 channels and nothing but cats” with the timings.
My most ideal is QF up and Scoot back on the midday-ish service of each.
Next is is SQ at 0640 and 0930 back. After that it’s all pretty terrible with the kids.

Personally, without kids,...😁..I prefer the afternoon SQ departure from PER and the evening SQ departure fron SIN getting into PER for mid night. 😁. Home.by half past midnight or so and in bed after some nice food and drinkies.

JQ 97 ---- 246 PER 07:50 SIN 12:55
JQ 99 ---- 247 PER 23:35 SIN 04:55+ canceled Nov

As for getting into PER from SIN at about midnight?
No thank you I have a 5 hour drive.....
Requires adjustments when wandering
Fred

I wonder why the change?

Looks like QF72 (SIN-PER) will still leave at 18:45 (arriving back in PER right before midnight), so the A330 now sits on the ground in SIN almost 3 hours.
THhis changed also as it was previously 7.30pm departure. i assume its to do with daylight savings on the east coast?

so with this earlier dpearture out of perth on QF71 means no access to the international lounge now? i took QF71 last month and departed at the usual 12.35pm or whatever it was so was in the international lounge as this opens at 9.25am

i am taking QF71 this friday with the 10.30am departure and there appears to be no change to the international lounge operating time. so basically i am assuming stuck in the domestic lounges? no point going for 20 minutes boarding is scheduled for 9.45am. kinda sucks.

I would be surprised if they don't open the lounge earlier.

Be interested to see how you go with the lounge situation as I am on this flight next week Thursday, hopefully they have adjusted the transit/international lounge to reflect the earlier departure

If this is a no change scenario then indeed it sucks. Enquire and state disappointment on Friday. The more we do this they might take notice. What is the point of having an "international" lounge at PER when it does not even open to accommodate QF international flights . Do QF get anything right??!!

Flew PER-SIN on the 31st of October.

Confirming the International Lounge opens a few hours prior to the new (earlier) departure - despite what the website says.

I believe the SIN J&F lounge hours have changed recently. Not good for JQ98 departures which is a shame as they are now much closer at T2 where JQ departs from January 2025.
Anyone have any real world experience on an earlier than 1330 opening time?

Ahh that’s good to hear. I’ll report back findings after my flight here anyway for further help for people.
