Prior to arrival they asked if I had any room preference. I cheekily said if you could upgrade me to the biggest best room you had that would be great. This was a pretty good effort. 1.5 bathrooms. Full bathtub, massive shower, seperate powder room, lounge room. About 80sqm all up. Sadly i also checked in late and left early.

Hotel was well located if you are flyng into or or out of Terminal 1 at MNL.

Stayed at Sydney Hilton two nights ago. First time since the new exec lounge opened on L1.

Our room upgrade was actually a downgrade. It was to exec floor (L36) in the area where the old exec lounge was, and where they have now squeezed in more rooms. Our room was much smaller (narrower) than a normal king room. Room for only one suitcase, no work desk or work chair, just a small side table and chair, no lounge chair. You are squeezing between the end of the bed and the TV and the side table.

New exec lounge - another downgrade, smaller, no windows, like in a dungeon, noisier because it is just an open room with hard surfaces everywhere, food is worse, but the wines are still the same awful "Chain of ?". Might have to go the lobby bar option, but not mentioned at check-in.

I've echoed my HH loyalty disappointing experience regarding Sydney Hilton before, and it's just happened again. I stayed a few days ago too, hoping things had changed, but alas they haven't... My recent story is this - I had booked a lead-in room a few weeks ago for a single weekend night stay, which I know is busy. As a HH Diamond member, I received an automated upgrade (via email) to an executive room a few days out (no surprise), which, of course is a 'token' upgrade to just a higher level room (now ironically even further away from the lvl-1 exec lounge). Then the night before my stay, the room rate had dropped in price, so I cancelled and rebooked my original room type at the lower rate.

Great! money saved, but no further HH auto-upgrade was offered. I contacted the property via the HH app chat the day of check in, and was only offered a 'paid' upgrade as no further 'comp' upgrades were available, and I also asked at check in... And was told no comp upgrades available as "we are fully booked" which was complete BS... as several room higher types were still available in the app (do they not know we can check?)...

Ultimately, it's pretty clear the Sydney Hilton hotel management is making this 'poor' call, which is disappointing. I can only compare this to the far better experience I get all over South East Asia at HH properties.

Hotel is two years old so still in good condition. Location is only average. Biggest issue for me was breakfast. First morning i went to the restaurant for the buffet. Second morning i went there again but the lady at the front said i could go and take breakfast in the Executive lounge which i did. It was a smaller set up. Third morning i went down to the restaurant again and after sitting down the maitre'd said i needed to go the lounge for breakfast or it will be Y3,800. Wasnt paying that so back up to the lounge.

One thing i appreciate about this hotel is the good quality razors they have in the room. Triple blade Schick. Nothing worse than hotels providing 5 cent razors and ripping your face off just before going to work.

Pretty uneventful stay. Unlikely to stay here again due to location and breakfast nonsense.

Received: King city view was offered as hotel pretty full due to long weekend. I needed a late check out so she said if i was to pay to upgrade to a Bay view king suite i can get late check out. This worked for me.

Room is excellent. I think 72sqm, two toilets, walk in robe,full living room, bath with tv, shower etc with nice view. Got breakfast in the restaurant. Would never pay full price for this room as it goes for close to $1,500 but for the upgrade price i paid i think it is quality.

Edit: there used to be a little brewery in the shops at the bottom of the building. Sadly that has closed.

Been staying there for many years due to handy Flinders St trains and trams, PLUS the Reception open fireplace in winter. haven't had any complaints apart from recommending they tone down the upstairs lift gongs - which they did!
Pays to select your room via OLCI as lower rooms each side have grand views of adjoining buildings/offices.

I was only there last week and was told at the front desk you can go to their restaurant or the lounge. I think you got some bad info.

You will definitely be using the Rinkai Line and the Tokyo Monorail a lot if you are staying here. There is a direct service to Shibuya and Shinjuku via the Rinkai Line (about 25-30 minutes). It is also in front of a bus interchange which takes you to various places around Tokyo. Ariake Mall is close by as well for some shopping. Close to the Tokyo Big Sight where you will see conferences and fairs take place.

Spectacular experience - they definitely make guests feel welcome here. Greeted us everytime we passed by and as the elevator doors closed. Hospitality is second to none. It opened earlier this year so everything is up to date. It is a fair walk from Umeda Station but there is a passage to get directly to the hotel. Noting that the hot dish from the menu is cooked to order during breakfast.

Nice views of Osaka when you look out the window. Got to check out this hotel for yourself (though the cash room rate is eye watering).

Recent Stay Conrad Tokyo

Absolute score of at least a 6 category upgrade. Booked standard King City on a cheap, slightly dodgy rate and ended up in the King Deluxe Bay Suite. Rack rate for this room is ¥465,000 a night.
Massive suite. Wasted on me by myself.

First time stay. Everything looks very new. And importantly no noise from outside. Didn't have time to have breakfast. Received koko black chocolates as welcome gift. They go well with the tea which are were not in teabags. One tiny hiccup was the digital key didn't work and had to pass by reception to get physical key. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

I am going to stay at the Conrad Manila for 2 night in late January 2026.
How is the traffic going to MNL airport from the hotel ?
(I have a flight to Cebu at 140pm on a Wednesday)
I plan to leave at least 4 hours before the flight.
