I just went in and requested a new card (after seeing your post). Seems to have worked.My Qantas "Year" ends this month. I have already requalified WP and have received notification from Qantas in the App.
I went to order a new card via the profile as indicated and was greeted with:

Has anyone had such an experience and if so, what happened?
Maybe it's too soon and I'll need to wait until next month.
I’m a 01 Aug start date. Totally forgot about this option….
