Seats.aero - a useful tool for finding Qantas & Velocity reward availability

Thank you very much. I would never have discovered that.
The results confirm how bad QF availability is. Not a single J seat from now out 11 months on that route.
Back to the drawing board.
As QF WP, you could try calling to get seats released.

Tks for your suggestion. QF have previously refused to release J seats when booking OW RTW J (paid) ticket as they say it is a low Class not available for special treatment. I've never been able to fly J from Japan to MEL with QF on RTW ticket. Take JQ or go via Taipei and or HKG. Odd that QF prefer their own WP's to fly with CX than with QF. SYD-SCL was the only QF flight on the trip. Can QF ask other airlines to release J seats? We have a few million QF points, but can't spend them efficiently. I'll prepare detailed itinerary and ring QF to see what is possible. Not confident.

Hell yeah!

Finally an alert has proven to be valid (Had a lot of duds before where no availability was shown) for my upcoming SYD - HND In J with ANA.

Got the notification after sailing and booked immediately!
lol you might've pinched one that I was looking at

What were your dates? They were pretty prompt with alerts for F on that route awhile back for releases in OCT/NOV.

Ah right the Fs were for JAL through qantas. Also still stuff available if anyone else was still looking:
