Hello, I’ve just completed my final eligible sector yesterday arvo - 29 September. I am currently Gold status and earned 1000 status credits earlier this year. I checked my account this morning (30 September) and this sector hasn’t been posted yet. Whilst I know it will count as an eligible sector for September, if they don’t review my account for Platinum today (30 September), does that mean they will use the new rules? I.e., they review the account for Platinum after 1st October, I don’t meet this 50% requirement so I don’t get upgraded? I think I’m going to call them later…

It might be time to go and read the VFF status upgrade page again. I think, not sure, but think that the 50% thing has been an active requirement since maybe April this year. I don’t think sectors matter any more.

I recently requal’d Plat and had the extra info on my VFF page for the past few months noting that not only did I need X more SCs to requal, but that Y more were needed on VA flights. When I hit the mark I’d got over the 50% self VA flights by maybe 30SC (the rest being EY international J and family pooling).

Mine has toggles between Before 1 Oct 25 and After 1 Oct 25. Before is saying all I need is 1 Eligible Sector. Anyhow, in case this helps anyone else I just got off the phone with Velocity and they told me it doesn’t matter about the changes after 1 October as they base the requirements on activity date. I have to wait 72 hours for the flight to credit. Then I can call them back. Hoping it all works out and computer says yes!

Eligible sectors drop off after a year as well as status credits under the old system.
Did you get the points from the flight yet as sector would have shown then.?
