Was looking forward to the F lounge in MEL for my QR flight MEL-DOH...will Plat/Emerald still get access to the "premium area"? Otherwise I guess have to go to the Maharabra lounge which is still way better than QF J lounge?

It's the MEL F lounge that's closed so that shouldn't be the reason you cant link your 12 October flight. I was going to say school holiday blackout period but holidays would have finished by then.

While we're all friends here, sometimes unfriendlies might also pass through, so I recommend editing to hide your booking reference.

If you've got status and looking at the lounge invitations page this will often show. The no access means you currently can't link an invitation to that booking but obviously with status that is not an issue.

I was at the EK lounge briefly, opened 515pm on the dot and i had the whole lounge to myself for about 10 mins, prior to my QF157 flight....

They're finally repairing/replacing the dodgy air conditioning system in the lounge before the busy (and hot) summer season. Anyone who has been in the F Lounge during summer over the last few years would recall the large Dalek-like aircon units dotted around to keep the place cool.
