You mean after ignoring this bit….? ;)

Haha I meant more that I'm scheduled back onto QPI 7.5days later. That being said who knows maybe they'll decide to turn it on this time.

Edit: also would've been my exact seats if I didn't decide to shuffle myself during OLCI.

Must be a last minute equipment change as this route is usually on a -300 (I was on this route last year and it was definitely on a -300).

I'd suspect it'll still cut out as soon as you depart the mainland.

Safe flight!

MEL-NRT is running a mix of 332 and 333 right now.

This bodes well for QPI. Maybe its the JP routes they don't enable wi-fi

QF 19 SYD-MNL yesterday had no wifi.

What a joke. It's stuff like this which firmly entrenches Qantas as a tier 2 or 3 airline.

I’m on QF59 right now and the CSM just made an announcement that WiFi was available for this flight within Australian airspace. She admitted she was surprised, even indicated that “the light is on”.

We’re on QPH. QF app said not available.

Question should be will you also get some coverage over SEAsia. I suspect not all the way to Japan..

Crew shouldn't be that surprised with 2 of 10 333s now complete
My CSM was, despite one of her colleagues doing the announcement actually did the whole wifi announcement.

I'll see where it drops out on my way to HKG.

I’ll report where HND drops out

It never worked.

I spoke to the CSM mid flight and she said from what she sees it should be working but the engineer told her he didn’t think it would.

Local wifi network was on during the flight.

Dropped out just as we got into Indonesia, now back as we near Manila.View attachment 468694

So overall, outside that patch between Indonesia and Phillipines, i had it work pretty solidly. Once I got it back just before Manila, i had it the whole way over the sea to HKG. It only dropped out as we started descending below 10000ft.
