Does anyone have any ideas on finding flights to Zagreb for the high season in 2026. i.e. is n ow too far in advance to be looking & are there cheaper destinations nearby to buy a ticket to from Australia and then perhaps a separate ticket to Zagreb. For example, a ticket from Australia to Athens & then a separate ticket to Zagreb?

There are so many permutations of destination and Airlines it’s hard to give an answer with respect to price.

But yes, you should be able to book flights there up to possibly mid August next year right now.

Here are destinations from Zagreb in June and July next year. Sorry it’s not very good as I’m doing it on my phone.

If you’re flying from Australia, I’d be looking at Istanbul and then some of the low cost Turkish airlines like flyPGS.

Or maybe FlyDubai out of Dubai.

use google flights from melbourne or sydney or whatever… and enter ‘anywhere’ in the ‘to’ box.

That will give you fares to all cites worldwide on a map, simply look at the best one that suits you. Not only will it show Zagreb, but you’ll see if athens is the same price, or cheaper, etc.
