It is our last night in Berlin so we paid a nostalgic, for me, visit to the Brandenburg Gate. I remember on our first ever day in Berlin we took the U Bahn there and walked out of the station in the evening to see the gate illuminated. That sight is always my first thought of Berlin.

Sitting at Berlin-Lichtenberg waiting for our train to Poznan. Mouldering away in a siding was this train. It is a remnant of East Germany. The DR stands for Deutsche Reichbahn the DDR train operator. It was the ICE of its day. This an article about the restoration of one of them.

That looks too posh to be Port Hedland - mind you it's been a while since I've been there.

I still reckon we should use it for an AFF Get together, as it does have a Qantas Lounge

When I see the red dirt, I feel like I’m coming home. It’s a Western Australian thing for me, although I remember red soil in Mildura living there as a teenager. I’ve never been to Port Hedland before, and it’s been an eye opener!
