Hi everyone
My love of travel started with a fascination for design. I trained in architecture, and over the past 15–20 years, my journeys have become just as much about hotels as the destinations themselves. I’m based in New Zealand but spend a lot of time travelling in Australia and Asia.
I’m passionate about loyalty programmes and all things points-related, including Amex. Over the years, I’ve learnt how to redeem points smartly, maximise upgrades, and tap into insider travel knowledge that makes every trip more rewarding.
I’ve also found that luxury hotel programmes like Accor HERA, Hyatt Privé, Hilton for Luxury, and Marriott STARS/Luminous can stretch your travel value even further, offering perks such as daily breakfast, US$100 credits, and room upgrades, even on short city breaks or weekend escapes. You still earn your usual loyalty points/night credits and elite status recognition, as these aren’t third-party bookings.
I run a small travel advisory business helping others enjoy these benefits, especially across Australia, Asia, Europe, and beyond. I’ve been following the conversations here for a while and look forward to swapping tips, sharing insights, and hearing about your recent trips.
