I treated a few friends to Rothwell's Bar & Grill in Brisbane last Thursday, and my dining credit cleared this morning (Monday). I'd recommend the beef Wellington there. Nice wine selection too (that's how they get you to spend way more than budgeted)

I've been eyeing this out. Good to hear that it's a good option. Will try couple it with the Accor Plus dining discount one day.

I took my mother and teenage daughter to Cafe Sydney last week for some pre-theatre dining at sunset. Entrees and mains - plus sides - hit the Amex dining credit easily enough, with me being out-of-pocket only for the champagne and the tip. No time for dessert - Cats was calling!
Amex applied the $200 local dining credit against my Platinum charge card the following day - perfect!

Last Thursday night my wife and I ate at Greca at the Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane. Nice easy walk along the river from the Four Points in the city.
We could only get a table in the mezzanine, so no river views unfortunately, But it was great - attentive service without being over the top, lively without being defeaning. We shared a bunch of smaller plates - the best were the Saganaki and the Wild Weed & Feta Pie. And the Watermelon with Mint & Ouzo was a fine way to finish. We both thought the Calamari was the dish we wouldn't bother with next time.
The $200 was in my account the next day.

I had to fight them for 2 weeks for my domestic credit because the hotel that one of the restaurants was located in was listed on the receipt (and statement), instead of the restaurants name. Took an escalation for them to acknowledge that they were wrong. Funnily enough though, it worked next day for me when I used it overseas.

Just an update on our restaurant experience in Madrid- I let the decision to my (freshly married) hubby, given it was the end of our Honeymoon. He actually decided for a different restaurant, Bibo Madrid. I was a bit nervous as the chef seems to be some Spanish NP-equivalent and I feared tiny bowls of salad leaves and plenty of pumpkin. But this turned out to thankfully be not the case as both the restaurant design and the meals were absolutely phenomenal.Thanks a lot- this one was already on my shortlist! Going to the top of that list now
The food was kind of modern interpretation of classic Spanish tapas and lots of seafood which I can’t eat myself but that wasn’t a big issue- plenty of meat and even vegetarian dishes on the diverse menu as well. We even ordered coughtails which is usually not high on our list and they looked and tasted very unique and amazing. Down on the pictures is the table made Guacamole, their very unique interpretation on Spanish croquettes and my Pisco coughtail with a smoke filled bubble as gimmick on top. We truly loved our experience and would highly recommend it- received the credit about 2 days after the dinner, no problems at all.

Yes that's correct. You book a course menu. Most restaurants require you to purchase a drink on the day that is not part of your course. The drink, and any additional items you purchase, will be charged back to you through Pocket Concierge also.
The entire Pocket Concierge platform is 'participating', so any restaurant listed will trigger the overseas credit.
